What do we Believe?

Cross Pic.jpeg

We believe in God; supreme in His dominion; and infinite in His being and perfections; the creator, possessor, upholder, and disposer of all things.
The mode of His existence is trinity in unity, (three in one) Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; one in nature; co-equal, co-eternal, and co-essential.

We believe that God gave us a revelation of His will in the Old and New Testament; which, being given by inspiration of God, are divine authority, and our only rule of faith and practice.

We believe that God, in the beginning, created man holy and upright in His image; but humanity marred that image by giving into sin. We believe that we are, as men and women, innately sinful; debased and defiled. Due to Adam's sin, in our relation to him, we all are polluted and defiled with sin. The good news is... in order to take care of our sin problem, Jesus Christ (God in the flesh; God's Son) came down from heaven and took on human flesh. He obeyed the law, suffered death, rose from the dead, ascended into glory, and now sits at the right hand of God making intercession for His people. His death was all-sufficient for all mankind, and salvation is obtained in Christ alone, through faith in Jesus alone, because of God's grace alone.

We believe that a local church is the body of Christ; a number of baptized believers covenanting together, to maintain the doctrine, worship, ordinances, and discipline of the gospel.

We believe that Baptism and the Lord's Supper are ordinances given by Christ to be administered by the local church. The proper mode, according to the New Testament, for Baptism is immersion only. The Lord's Supper is open to all unifying baptized believers.

We believe the local church is God's intended instrument to reach the world with the good news of Jesus Christ. All members of the local body, serving in their giftedness, make up the body of Christ. The members of the body of Christ serve alongside each other to reach their community, their county, their state, and the world with the Gospel.
